MPD organizes a residential training program for reverts this Ramadan, with 20 participants selected from Ajakurama (Edo), Buguma (Rivers) and Akwa Ibom State. The National Ameer, Alh. Umar Faruk Bello, led the first session, as seen in the pictures above, marking the official commencement of the program today, Sunday, 2nd Ramadan 1446 AH (2nd March 2025), at the MPD National Headquarters in Apo, Abuja. In shā’ Allāh, the program will run for 40 days.
During the session, the Ameer introduced the participants to the purpose of the program, emphasizing that they are here to be trained as Islamic scholars who will, in shā’ Allāh, return to their communities to teach Islam. He encouraged them to pay close attention to all the teachers who will be instructing them and to ask questions whenever they need clarification, as this is a rare opportunity to learn the correct teachings of Islam.
MPD has provided transportation logistics and will continue to ensure that all their needs are met to make their stay comfortable. The Ameer reassured them that they should feel at home, as this is their second home. Additionally, he introduced them to the concept and attributes of God Almighty and the purpose of human creation, laying the foundation for their journey of learning and spiritual growth.
