MPD COMMENCES DATE PALM PLANTATION PROJECT – WAQF

The Muslim Professionals in Da’awah (MPD), through its Waqf Foundation, has officially commenced the Date Palm Plantation Project. This noble initiative is a fulfillment of the pledges made by the Waqf subscribers during the launch of the MPD Waqf Foundation earlier this year.

On Wednesday, 1st October 2025, the exercise formally took effect, marking the beginning of what is envisioned to be a long-term sustainable waqf project. The event was led by the Executive Secretary of MPD, who, alongside other officials, supervised the planting of the first stands of date palms donated by subscribers.

The Date Palm Plantation Project is designed not only as a source of long-term economic sustainability for MPD but also as a sadaqatun jariyah (continuous charity) for the donors, ensuring ongoing rewards and benefits for them. With the successful fulfillment of their pledges, the subscribers have set the foundation for a lasting legacy that will serve the cause of Da’awah and community development for generations to come.

This project stands as another milestone in MPD’s commitment to building self-sustaining initiatives that will strengthen the organization’s capacity in Da’awah, education, and humanitarian support.

MPD appreciates the commitment of its waqf subscribers and calls on more members and well-wishers to participate in this noble endowment.
